    NSV armband

Anybody ever see one like this? The stitching on the edges looks odd...... the wear is odd as well.....

This NSV Armband is not impossible.... often locally made and of "cheapest" quality (as this one appears to be....), but also easily reproduced and thus always "risky" ....which also keeps value and interest relately low.

I have seen "similiar", almost "painted"/printed NSV armbands.... for what that's worth.

My thoughts as well on the way it is made. I haven't seen this pattern before as a fake so it is possible. The seller also has a Winterhilfswerk armband like the one I own but darker ink which I'll attach when i get home.... I'm not a fan of the one I posted myself but it still has a chance.....

I'd like to see the WHW armband as 99.99% of them are fantasy I'm afraid. The Gau Niederlande armbands did exist...I believe that these are the only WHW armbands that are thought to be period.

You see the WHW armbands pop up on dealer sites from time to time...they usually always sell.

The ones that Ron shows are the most commonly seen...and like he says are trash.

The one that Kyle posted is one that I haven't seen before. I like it to be honest...I'd be careful spending too much on something like this though as I am not aware that there were any regulations for these.

I know a few people who own the type I own. They are very convincing in hand if they are fake. They are made of a light cotton. Passes black light (not like that matters anymore) but have never tried a burn test on it. I could try tomorrow.....

                      Hey Kyle,

Like I said...I think I like the one you posted. I haven't seen it before...but as far as armband construction and all that goes....I am the wrong person for that discussion!
