    Anyone recognize this patch?

    Hello everyone,

I am not sure that this is Third Reich related but I wasn't sure where to post it. I received it with a lot of other TR sports related cloth items...so I thought I'd start in this section and go from there.

The material looks pretty good and close to the period...but I couldn't locate it in any of my reference materials.

Anyone recognize this patch? Any assistance is greatly appreciated!

    All the best,
    Chrys

I found this in the page dealing with NSFK:

      http://www.danielsww2.com/NSFK1.html

"It is a pattern of the NSFK communications radio operator sleeve triangle
(Bordfunker-Abzeichen) , which was worn on the lower
left sleeve. This badge was introduced in 1941."

        Gentleman,

Thank you very much for the quick replies! The link with the NSFK information was great and a fun read. This patch almost got passed over...good thing I decided to post it here.

I assume that this isn't rare...but I'd imagine that it isn't all that common either.

Thanks again Gents for the information.

The patch was for example published in the magazine "Das NS-Fliegerkorps, Ausgabe B der Luftwelt" from March 15, 1941 (page 47). It was phrased as Bordfunker-Abzeichen des NS-Fliegerkorps.
It was not only meant for members from the NSFK, but for the Hitler-Jugend as well and was granted to those in pre-military training for Bordfunker and when reached "Tempo 30" . Is was a Tätigkeitsabzeichen and worn at the left lowe arm.
The patch is faked for many yeas, but then there was a swastika instead of the B.

                    Thank you Cemifor!

Do you own the HJ photo or was it used from the internet?

It is not from the Internet, but some period publication (book or magazine), I don't rember which right now.

The wearing of this patch is shown in my "Handbook of the Hitler-Jugend". Page 363 has two photographs where the patch is worn: once upon the lower left arm from the greyish blouse (Flieger-HJ) and once upon the right upper arm from the brown-shirt!
