PP Bln is a Police marking. Seems to be one from 1933 (?)

It could be Police motorcycle or tankcrew trousers (I tend for motorcycle). The same style was in use up to the late 70ies!!

          Hoffmann,

Post war Berlin polizei pants. I have a picture of the complete leather suit in wear but can not find it at the moment. Here is a picture of the green leather uniform they wore after they moved from blue to green.

          Regards,

          Gordon

            Gordon, I disagree!

The manufacturer is Karl Heisler, known for all kind of pre Weimar, Weimar and TR equipment.

The markings are 1933 and we have a pocket/strip for a pocket watch

Please find a photo of equipment made by this manufacturer in 1926 with this post.

              Gerd W.,

Interesting picture. Thanks for posting it. I am not aware of the use of P.P. Berlin markings during the Weimar Republic. Perhaps you are better informed on this marking than I. I must admit that the date does look like 1933 but then I have seen uniform articles where a digit could be either a 3 or an 8.
Post war polizei markings for Berlin can be found as P.P. Berlin over G.B, P.P. Brln over G.B. or without the G.B.
I was about to email a fellow polizei collector and discuss this marking with him but your post beat me to it. I'll probably do that anyway. It would be good for everyone if we could establish the periods when this particular marking was used.
I checked my green leather S-H motorcycle suit to see who made it but I could not find a label in it.
Any more information you could ad re PP Berlin markings would be appreciated.

              Regards,

              Gordon

Just for reference a post war PP Berlin GB marking found in a 1950/55 crash-helmet and the one in question.

Btw, we used very similar pants up to the late 70ies!

However, I donĀ“t know what happened to Fa. Karl Heisler. I think the complete area of the factory has been destroyed.

....here a marking on postwar Breeches

Gordon, it looks like that this PP Berlin GB "problem" comes up every 2 or 3 years

We only need to find out, what happened to Heisler after 1945
