It has matching markings S.W. L. 342. JoeW said this is Schopo Administrative District of Wiesbaden. The frog is Imperial and is dated 1915.

Nice! Wiesbaden sounds correct. After that I suspect it's actually an 'I' vs 'L', the 'I' would represent duty location. Duty locations are typical of larger admin districts.

Just looking back at saved images, I saved pics of S.W.I.26. - Eickhorn, S.W.I.465. - Horster, and S.W.I.467., 915, 929, 1119, & 1281 - Paul Weyersberg. From II duty location, #'s 41 & 43 - Eickhorn. All mentioned modified (shortened)

I picked up a nice 200 page paperwork collection to a man who served in several Polizei Bataillons in Sudetenland, Poland, France and Russia culminating in SS Pol. Rgt. 17 & SS.Pol.Rgt.28 'Todt'. Also about 10 photo albums to Landespolizei, Bahnschutzpolizei, Schupo & Orpo Polizei Bataillons & many photo groupings etc.

Great picture! Wouldn't that be something to have as a wall hanger. Congrats on all your photo additions!

I was very fortunate this year and was able to find some really nice Police insignia. But in my opinion, none better than this elusive General's sleeve eagle.
