Hi there guys.
I have found this it has been moved from one dealer to another.
The Eagle looks pretty good when compared to another.Even if it sits on the cross a little wonkey( possibel camera angle ).
The thing that is worrying me is the rear.The catch is not one that i have ever encountered before.All the Red cross and social welfair ones from Godet have a rounded catch. also the hinge and pin i do not know.
There is also a loots of (uneven flaws) in the metal rear of the enamel cross.
Maby a varient ??????? i dont know so your advice and imput would be great.

Like I said on another forum, I am sure that these are post war S & L. I used to own one which came from the Dodkin Collection but was never sure about it and exchanged it with a dealer for a text book Godet type a couple of years later.

Pete, I am with Stan all the way here. I also noticed that this badge moved from Emedals to Col to Col Militaria without selling. I also traded one of these off previously and bought a textbook vaulted Godet version instead. The only thing going for this one is that one was in the Dodkin collection, as generally this would be a sure sign of originality but even despite this, this one is definitely still not for me, Cheers, Michael

Never did like the rear of this one.Glad i did a bit of looking up on the Godet catches .
Still looking fo one if anyone knows of a good one ??????Also a later first class red cross
