Found this pretty awesome volkssturm variation from the nephew of the veteran. Didn't have any background on where it was from unfortunately. Everything in the bring back group was mint besides this armband, so I am a believer in the damage and staining being period from the war itself. Certainly one of my favorites of the year...Comment

It is made of a very coarse cheap material. I still haven't figured out a reason for the veteran eagle rather than a national eagle. Plenty of older ex ww1 veterans were drafted into the volkssturm but considering they were obviously low on materials by this point it doesn't make much sense to make a different variation for different types of troops.Comment
