Autobahn Badge

This is a lapel badge I bought a couple of years ago. I saw a mention of these small badges on p327 of Angolia's 1979 F & F. Apart from that they are mentioned in OMJ No.14 from 1976.

Strange that they don't turn up more often although I think that Weitze bought several from a former Deschler employee a couple of years ago.

Has anyone else got one?

Beautiful award Stan, probably a boxed or cased originally. I have a stickpin which i believe is autobahn. an eagle in a circle which is cut out. holding a swas. thanks for posting

That one is more like a tinnie but it could be the one described in F & F as given to workers after the completion of 2000km of autobahn.

a nice topic with badges I really like, too.

I have a set im my collection consisting of a 1000 km-tinnie and two honour badges for 2000 and 3000 km.

The pics are not the best, the sun is missing here ....

I've seen the one on Weitze's site and considered buying it. I don't collect in this area, but it certainly is an elegant little piece.
