Found in vet's estate police belt buckle

Found a WWII police belt buckle in a vet's estate. I was wondering if anyone could help me identify the maker of this. It says "RS & S" on the back and the leather tap says "1938". The leather is a little rough but the date can still be made out. The aluminum is a little dirty but over all the stamping is great. I was wondering what company produced this buckle and its location in Germany.

I'm not keen on many German items and probably will pass it onto someone who will cherish it. Thanks for the help.

RS&S stands for R. Sieper & Sohn, Lüdenscheid. A fairly common maker for polizei buckles. Congrats on a good find

A very nice buckle! Appears to have some really good detail.

Thanks for the information! I decided I'm going to sell the buckle. It doesn't really fit into my collection so I'm going to sell it. Though that maybe ask $150?

Doesn't hurt to ask, although given the wear you might end up coming down a little. But who knows, there might be someone needing one and now.

ANy other polizei items from the Vet estate?

There was a black wound badge and a Luftwaffe jacket patch.
