    Fire Police Board Identification

I am trying to identify these boards. I believe that they are Fire Police boards. Any help in identifying them would be appreciated. I know the pips should be for Hauptmann rank.

Thanks in advance for any useful information.

Equiv. of a "Major" in volunteer / career fire department. They used seperate rank designators, why??????

A Hauptmann or Major Bill? Until the creation of the Feuerschutzpolizei, the distinctions between professional (Berfus) and volunteer (Freiwillige) was maintained in the Fire Fighting Services (Feuerwehren). The different rank designations carried over from the Prussian service and sought to distinguish their respective professional qualifications from each other and equivalent ranks in the police departments. So the black of the Berufsfeuerwehr was continued in the trim cloth of the Feuerschutzpolizei.

            Dear Joe,

Dang! Of course "major" is a mistake....HUA again. Mouth engaged before brain in gear. Of course a major is a middle or field grade officer. These boards are for a senior "junior grade" officer equivalent. In the military that would be a captain or senior lieutenant depending on the service. I have never been able to remember the volunteer vs career fire department ranks. Thanks for the explanation.

No dogman, everyone doesn't understand German. Perhaps I should respond in Japanese to make the point.

The question was asked in English, which like it or not is the de facto linqua franca on this board. There Some
                Latin for you to ponder.

Oh sorry, I can not speak English and do not want to rely on a translator.
Where it is written in this forum that I MUST speak English here?
And if he has asked his question in English, then these are still German epaulettes and I gave him to the German commercial code.
                    Where there is the problem?
In our German forum, we have to play with, foreigners are addressed in English and in their own language. We go to our international users. No, here in your American one is forced to speak English. what's the sense?
