    Closing mekanism on MC ribbon

I have a mothers cross with this closing mekanism, unfortunatly the part with the "pin" is loose as you can see.

But I cant remember seeing a ribbon with any sorts of closing mekanism before (altho i must admit to not have seen many mothers crosses att all).

So was this the normal arrangement or is it something homemade?

I bought it from Niemann 20 years ago and havent wonderd about it untill today.

These pop up every now and then, privatly done by the wearer. All kinds of buttons were used. It's always a nice little extra though when you find one like it.

There are also more luxuary closing devices with a button, even with engraved tips.

        Thanks
I looked at both your website and the mothers cross appreciation thread before posting but there was nothing about this thing. If you (or anybody else) have pics of other closing systems just lying around in your pc i wouldn't be mad if you would post them here.

        Thanks.
I agree, that is a little extra, thats why i was supprised when there was no pics of it in the mothers cross appreciation thread, it was just all about the crosses and the miniĀ“s and so on.

And also, the precence of this button means that it is an awarded cross, and that is really nice.
