    Im Dienste Der Sicherheitspolizei Armband

I have been really fortunate lately in acquiring some rather rare and unusual armbands. They were actually 100%. I think my luck has run out with this one though. I don't even know if these ever existed or if I have just seen them over the years so often, that a 'fantasy' piece has gotten some legitimacy from being seen so much.
It was in a large pile of stuff that is all common, SA Sports Armbands, HJ Armbands, Deutche Wehrnmacht armbands, NSDAP armbands, Deutshce Volksturm armbands, etc.
Who knows? There are no stamps on it and there are no RZM paper tags inside of it.
    Thanx,
    Tim

    Tim,
Your luck is still going strong. This is a picture perfect, original example. Don't ever worry about armbands not having RZM tags or being stamped. Most originals have niether. RZM tags are really only found on NSDAP, SA Wehrmannschaft, HJ, HJ Studentenbund, HJ medical, and SS armbands (I may have missed one or two other types, but the number of original armband types with RZM tags is relatively small). Good luck to you in the future, Chris

Sicherheitspolizei is not an obscure Third Reich organization, definitely, and SiPo brassards do surface from time to time, so your suspecting a fantasy piece is unfounded.
Presence of stamps is not a required feature, although brassards very often show stamps. The same applies to RZM tags on brassards, which are mostly found on Allgemeine SS ones.
Printing technique needs close examination. I'm worried by the "chubby" style of the lettering (which I don't like) and the material as compared to known originals which are fairly consistent in quality.

I would be perfectly happy to have this one in my collection.
