Help identifying police hat badge

Just recently acquired this in a collection of coins and some medals and wanted to find out more about it. Thanks for any help!

You have an early (circa 1934) enlisted man's cap insignia set. The flat cockade is missing the red felt insert in the center but that is easily replaced.

Thanks for the info! Any idea on the value of this piece? As mentioned, it was in a set of items, I don't collect police stuff or know anything about it.

That's a nice looking 1st pattern variety with appealing silver frost and wear This 1st pattern was called for in 1934 and replaced with the 2nd more common pattern with the new uniforms introduced in 1936. I still see these anywhere from $35 to some asking $75.
