Ron, I'm glad you posted this, I've been wanting to discuss this armband for some time but have been unable to find a decent pic of one since I don't own one. I like everything (especially the buckle) but not the armband. IMO it is a Fantasy piece. I used to see them a lot at military shows in the 70's and 80's. I believe they also come in yellow on green for Field police. I've had them in hand but was not convinced.Comment

I agree with Tom, "very suspect" (too say the least!)....unknown until they suddenly appeared in quanity and in several variations in the 70s/80s....there is no referance to this type eagle/location Armband in the section on Marinekustenpolizei in any Naval Referances I have.....(or Insignia/Armbands)
I too have seen "many" but never liked them myself. I do see them on "Big Dealer Sites" (who are well reputed to know thier stuff)....but IMO they are not original.
Love all the other stuff....of course.

This armband is a total reproduction the eagle is all wrong I am afraid to say. It is a known type of eagle and one of the best repros. SorryComment
