Police 18 year

For some reason I bought my first police cross and I have no experience of these.

After comparison with a lot of crosses here at the forum i would say that this is without a question a good one. But since i have access to expertise here on WAF I thought I would post some pictures anyway.

The pink color on top off the 9 O`Clock arm in the first picture is just the camera reflecting in the mirror finish. That is pretty much the only spot to still have the mirror finish left.

And no, i dont have a pink camera. I just borrowed my daughter's camera to take these pictures. So no gay jokes please.

I see no problem with the Cross as far as being real...unfortunately it's probably already been incorrectly cleaned....best to "leave it alone" and maybe in 10 years it will have "re-toned" itself. Looks like they used "NEVRDUL" or "TARNEX"....
As long as "priced accordingly" it's a fine example, and certianly "fine" for mounting in that blank place on your Police medal bar your restoring....certianly can be "upgraded" if the opportunity arises....but haveing an original example is the primary goal, IMO.

Yes, it was priced accordingly, whats why i bought it.
And like you say, my goal is to have original examples and not necessarily minty pieces so I probably won't upgrade this. I might however replace the plain blue ribbon that came with it, if I can find a correct one with the embroided eagle.
