    L.P.G. Goring LW Visor?

Would this visor be correct for the LPG Goring after their conversion to the LW?

(sorry, no interior shot, but it is made by Friedrich Sackmann of Berlin).

No, not a LPG visor but one for the Luftpolizei or Flugpolizei or Polizei-Flugwache. These were the Air Traffic Controlers and Security personnel at airports.

I'm not so sure it's Luftpolizei. A mate has one of their caps and the piping is a much brighter shade, almost like panzergrenadier grass green. Furthermore, the cap is a standard Luftwaffe type, whereas this one doesn't have the ribbed black cap band and appears to be police green.

Here is another one of these crazy hats up for auction on HH.

I like both the exterior and interior, but I doubt it is LW.

        Description:

        Lot Nr. 7078
Schirmmütze für Mannschaften/Unterführer der Landespolizeigruppe "General Göring"

Polizeigrünes Tuch mit dunkelgrünem Besatzstreifen, hellgrünen Vorstößen, schwarz gelacktem Schirm und Sturmriemen, Aluminiumeffekten der Luftwaffe sowie goldgelbem Seidenfutter mit Goldprägung "Otto Hamann - Extra Qualität - Berlin S.W.29 - Friesenstr. 14". Nahezu ungetragen und farbfrisch. Minimale Mottenlöcher.
        Sehr seltene Mütze.

Another one from bizarro land (hat is a real FSP NCO, though):

This all original cap has some interesting insignia! Very high peak, constructed from Police Green wool with a burgundy piping around the crown and both sides of the brown wool cap band. The Vulcan fiber visor is black on top with some minor spidering and a deep green on the checkered underside. The original insignia consists of a Political style eagle above a Luftwaffe cockade. Both are made from leichtmetall (light metal or aluminum alloy) with no fading to the wool behind, indicating period applied. There is a nice officer's braided aluminum chin strap. The lining is brown silk, is maker marked "Stadt 1938 Stuttgart" and still has the sweat diamond. The leather sweat band is well worn but in great shape. I have been told this piece was acquired at a V-2 Rocket base. After researching these strange variations of insignia and piping I believe this to be true. A very rare piece that Angolia has been trying to talk me out of for years, so I've finally decided to put it up for grabs!
