on craig gottlieb auctions is a forestry uniform group. now to my question is it a thrid reich forestry uniform or is it a fake?

It´s not forestry, it´s DJ (Reichsbund Deutsche Jägerschaft) - Hunting Assosiation.
The shoulderboards are not correct for the TR period

Many unread beginners always mix up the Forestry Service with the Hunting Association & the Shooting Association; just like "Military" has blurbed in the Thread "Shooting Standarte" (Flags Forum) where he blatted that the Shooting Association flag would go very well with a collection of DJ (Hunting Association) stuff.

Also it is unlikely that a DJ tunic would have an armband. Should it not have a DJ arm-patch instead?

Stefany, what are those shoulder boards? Are they even DJ related but for another period? The colors used also remind me of some earlier polizei or customs boards.

I agree to Dave´s thought that ithe shoulder boards are possibly customs.
The DJ pattern was totally different and forestry again different to both.

Wessel is right DJ never wore a swastika armband. Perhaps the seller didn´t know and thought it to be a nice "german" addition.
The sleeve patch should be the well known Stag´s skull .
