Whatever the case, I am confident that it will be coming to a dealer site near you with a nice, mint gold WSP eagle on it....

I was tempted by this cap BUT two things bothered me. Firstly, any time I see a cut down cloth clothing name tag in a hat it screams put together. I have never owned an authentic cap so named, not to mention the "owner's location and the cap distributor are FAR apart. Secondly, the holes for the eagle look like someone jabbed an awl through and wiggled it around to make the holes VERY clear to suggest an eagle had been attached. It reminds me of all the ss caps with insignia "shadows" on e-bay.

This is not to say the cap is bad, it is VERY convincing but "too good to be true" comes to mind.

Great catch on the missing stirndruckfrei feature! I had to go back and look this up to see a few examples since I haven't really noticed this feature in police caps before that I've looked at. This really makes a person wonder what has happened with this cap.

This is a common repro "maker", Johann Hermann. This is actually Soldat.com's in-house brand. (There never was a maker by this name--it is what we call a fantasy maker).

First Autobahn-Po repro (non-fake) I can recall seeing:

That Huesken cap has been offered for years. I think that it has been purchased and returned more than once. Just looks too new to me, but so does the Kepi you show which is good so judgment based on "newness" is not very objective is it. Bright whites on a 60 year old piece bother me. White ALWAYS yellows or color shifts due to the bleaches used to make it white.

I'm not familiar with the pattern of RZM tag in the kepi above. The serial number seems a little odd to me...
