.... One of the very few worn M44 Police tunics out there!
Erik
Wear (little) or not, one of the very few M44 Police tunics I dare say.
I've got a wide spectrum of Police field tunics but had to wait for a long time before grabbing a Police M44.
Congrats.
Will you show us the interior and details, please?

Thank you. Yes, they are rare in any condition. I will try to take some pictures later this week!
Perhaps I can breathe some new life into this old thread?
I'm not a Polizei collector, but I've had a few Polizei uniforms pass through my collection over the years. This is the only tunic I have kept. Because it's a "combat police" tunic and is named via his laundry tag sewn into the lining. And... shows clear traces of an SD sleeve diamond. I also have a Polizei M43 cap and M43 field trousers to complete this one, but they are not a grouping to the same man.
"Ghost" of the sleeve diamond. The tailor's label was also removed from the lining in the back of the neck area, but curiously the laundry tag style name tag was left.
Indeed, to add some juice to this thread; three tunics that for sure have seen the strain of combat:
1. Rare Gendarmerie drillich tunic in Heer configuration (photo playing tricks with me)
2. Summer Gebirgspolizei
3. Field made tunic from Italian camo; typical for the style worn by Polizei personnel and one of the few field made camo tunics I believe is WW2 era original.
