I started this same thread as well in the Wehrmacht Uniforms Forum, but figured I - and I assume many with me - don't want to miss out on the Polizei uniforms!

For obvious reasons, most tunics found today in our collections are dress tunics or service tunics that have been used for walking-out purposes. Therefore the "real" story tellers, those Schupo, Customs etc that have experienced active front-line/Bandenkampf service are rare to encounter.

I would like to see what is out there, the tunics that leave no doubt as to where they have been, as you can almost touch history...
So please don't hesitate to share those ripped and teared salty dogs!

1. M44 Wachtmeister tunic with '45 Lago Wien markings. Worn with heavy napwear all over.
2. Polizei Division Art. Oltnt. drillich (unfortunately sold); sleeve eagle missing.

My Schuma + my regular combat Polizei uniform.
The latter was picked up by a US Army vet in Italy along with the M43
(with period cut off flap) and erstatz leather belt with late war resin Polizei buckle !)

Thank you for posting Nick; you are always good for some extra juice in the pot!
I find those Schuma uniforms always quite intriguing.

Herewith a ordinary Orpo Meister dating back from my early collecting years. Nothing special although I like the early style slant lower pockets and of course in the spirit of this thread; a nice (field) repair just in line where the right belt support hook would have been placed... Although in fact the sleeve eagle might be a replacement (?), this tunic does not strike me as a POW worn garment, therefore such a repair on a well worn tunic could only indicate exposure to harsh environment IMO.

I find it hard to believe it's only mint-like items out there.... does no one wants to share his field worn tunics??

This could be a very nice thread IMO,...a shame to let it bleed to death.
