Reichsbahn, yes, but from the post-war East-German Reichsbahn. (1951 pattern boards)
The red color identified the Berufsgruppe Betrieb und Verkehr [= occupational group operations and traffic], this specific board was for Berufsgrad [= occupational grade or "rank"] B2.
(ID as per "Das Kleid des Eisenbahners" by Jürgen Hartmann and Klaus Thiede.
