In 1972 a lady at work gave me this sailing prize,its for first & second prize which her father won at this event.The party had only been in power a few months,note the early eagle flying towards a rising sun.

Hi Bill.
It measures 9cm across.The Deutsche Segler Bund was formed I believe before WW1,reformed in the twenties and then absorbed into the party.I know the ladys father was not keen on the nazi's,he would not let her join the BDM until she was the only one in her class who was not in it,she was later conscripted as a nurse and looked after wounded soldiers until the end of the war,she then met a British soldier and got married and came to England.JohnComment
