Police acceptance stamp??

Just wondering if someone could help me on this acceptance marking.

Found the starburst (??) on a Prussian Fuesselier-Officer saber (leather scabbard with silver fittings and two retaining rings). There are some other numbers around

# 22. on one side, #1380 + the starburst on the other

Such sabers are often seen with Imperial Schutzmannschaft Police officers (Gemeindepolizei as well). But isn´t the starburst a later style marking???

Gerd, it appears to be the Prussian police star/sunburst used as an acceptance for weapons and equipment by the Prussian police Beschaffungsamt from 1929 on, but I cannot make out what the mark is in the center. I have seen K, L, and B used on various items. But this sword you indicate was made in the Imperial Prussian era? I don't believe an acceptance stamp would be used on reconditioned/used material secured from the Reichsheer. Or is this new material? How does it conform to the saber pictured in the Prussian Police Bekleidungsvorschrift?

If the faint device in the center of the starburst is a shield with a number it is an East German Volkspolizei marking. It is thought that some earlier swords were pressed into service with the NVA but I have no idea why the Volkspolizei would have reworked a sword since they did not wear them.

A NVA/VoPo marking ....... someone made a joke with this saber.......
