Poor details and the enamel is sunk in the swaz, amongst other wrongs - no good!

Theres nothing wrong with this Mothers cross only missing the ribbon

Are you kidding!

Look at the flaws in the enamel, and you can clearly see the traces from the molding along the edges on the back!

Even the metal is wrong.....

I would very much like to know the weight of this cross?

Its not that often that you see a fake mothers cross with the stippling under the blue transulucent just it looks a little grubby lets see what others think the sunken swaz might be bad light

Good one, no doubt, the swas looks as if reflecting, don't think it has sunken black enamel.

I would however like to see a close up shot of the inscription on the reverse, especially of the "D", it looks as if different applied with some coarseness in the line? Interesting!

I'm not gonna argue with you, but I still dont like this cross!

There's too many flaws and the sunken enamel in the swaz is one big flaw that never would have passed the quality control.

I dont like the backing in the blue enamel either, there should be some kind of pattern, but he.. if I can see it?

Either way, this is not a cross I would want in my collection.....

As we pm'd on another forum, this picture with the underlaying patterns in the enamel is very dangerous as it is definately not always correct! even not for those makers!

And there are many more patterns than the few posted here, some are not even of a "grid" pattern, but more like an uneven surface thing (like waves or a sandy desert) (can't explain better in english). Look at the ones you call Deschler or Godet....

I am aware of the dangers in the underlaying pattern, thanks to you, it just seemed to be so many other flaws to this cross.

However, I have realized that I was wrong in my judgement on this piece, the new pics shows that the cross is good!

But at least there came some knowledge out of this discussion.
