    Early Zoll

I received the Visor I purchased from Member Vaughn O. Thanks to him and to Nick G, Stonemint, Gerard, for their input. I believe that this visor is a match to this tunic. My question, is there any TR or Transition boards and/or tabs trimmed in red? I have seen the Weimer era zoll tunic trimmed with red, But no TR or Transitional. Likewise the trim on the Transitional visors, any in Green.

The trousers shown here, are I believe shown in this Period photo sent by member Ibsr. Also with a mix of transitional and latter Zoll tunics and visors. Your opinions welcome. Thanks, Pete

Your cap was designed to go with the slightly earlier version of the Zollschutz uniform. The earlier tunic was double breasted green with the same orange-red piping as is on your cap. The blank black collar tabs had a single polished (glatt) button at the back instead of the later litzen bars which match the band. All the buttons were polished gilt.

Your uniform is a slightly later single breasted version for Zoll. The uniform shown on the left in the photo above is the later uniform which had green piping. The next fellow over seems to be Czech Zollschutz and the next fellow with the tunic with concealed buttons is wearing another transitional tunic and cap.

      Nice cap BTW!

Thanks Schupo, I had found this Tunic in an earlier thread Posted by Ernst H. Is this the tunic you are refering too? What cap would go with the tunic I posted? This one looks so good on the tunic. Looks very much like man on the far right of the period picture.

Yes, this is the double breasted tunic I was talking about. I believe that the cap carried over to the single breasted tunic that you have. I think they continued to wear this cap (with changes in insignia) until they changed over to the green piped uniforms and caps.

Great transitional blouse (1934 Dienstbekledungsordnung) with 1937 shoulderboards! Congrats!

            To visor:
Here is original text from BeklO 1934:
            From Oberrergierungsrat down:
(vgl. Zeichnung d).

            From Zollassistent down:
Wie zu 1, jedoch geköppelte kunstseidene, dunkelgrüne, gold durchwirkte Mützenkordel.

=> Mützenkordel is bad (it has another form - 2 single cords as shown, but twisted together), Hoheitsabzeichen must be SILVER in place of GOLD!!!

If You have some more questions, feel free to ask...

            SChupo,
Czech guy is a Gendarm (father of my friend -collector), second blouse is lightweight summer variant of 1934 blouse...
