    Berlin Shupo Eagle on White

This was in a vet's box with 5 SS visor hat eagles and other pins.

I don't mess around with items, but I wish I knew a way to safelky clean this.

In the land of the blind, the one eyed man is king.

Duct tape can't fix stupid, but it can muffle the sound.

The eagle looks good to me. Would be a 1936 SchuPo NCO eagle approved for wear for a very short 6 month period around the time of the olympics. Many argue that these were never produced but I believe that they were.

If you don't collect these contact me as I wouldn't mind having it.

Unfortunately mildew is next to impossible to remove. Simple washing or dry cleaning will NOT help. Any chemical able to remove the stains would also affect the green dye so I'm afraid the best you can do is expose it to direct sunlight to kill any active mold. Unfortunately, I am not aware of any product that can safely return it to it's original condition, and I have looked and tried everything in the past.

That is certainly an interesting find. Thanks for sharing.

Bill, don't you already have an example or two of green embroidery on white? Seems like this subject has been discussed at length before in another thread or two but I haven't relocated the thread yet.

      Found one posting - http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...ht=green+white

Found a picture of another from a random auction...was it Manion's?
