Fake!

There are no Kugelkopföse. The cross is since the 70th thus at the market and comes from Hungary

Kugelkopföse means, ball-head suspension eyelet. However, in my opinion, originals can be found with ball-head as well as conventional suspension eyelets (such as yours). So a Fire Brigade Decoration is not necessarily a fake just because it does not have a ball-head suspension eyelet.

I am a bit leery about the overall quality of your example, though. The finish and especially the appearance of the reverse look questionable. Original were made of tombak-bronze and given a silver-plated finish. I don't see any evidence of yellow-colored base metal showing through at the worn areas. The central swastika disc is attached way off center too.

I agree that the overall quality of the originally posted example is somewhat lacking & likely a postwar reproduction.

On another note, that's some medal bad. A fireman who had WWI service & became political? Wow!
