Hallo, and sorry for open this old thread again
Just a question to the shoulder boards of the shown uniforms.
The boards are sewn in in the wrong way. The small arrows of the forward side of the boards should lead to the head. Our fire service veterans told me that they had to spend a round of beer if the borads are fixed the wrong way.
IN the book "Deutsche Polizeiuniformen 1936-1945" from Dieter Deuster is that described on page 138.
Do anyone has a pictual proof that the shoulder boards were worn on the wrong side during wartime? I have some orignal tunics and all are sewn or looped correctly.
Thanks for your answers. I started collecting Feuerwehr/Feuerschutzpolizei a few weeks ago because I got some uniforms from our old veterans.
Bye
Frank
