Police Medal Bar Question

Hello Gentlemen,

I hope this finds everyone doing well and enjoying the hunt. The medal bar photographed here is a recent purchase.

It just strikes me as a very odd combination in that there should be other medals, many medals on this bar.

For a Police Officer to have the 25 Year Long Service medal he surely must have earned other decorations along the way. With the 1914-1918 Honor Cross being present shows he had WW1 service of some sort.

I was just curious as to what my fellow collectors think about this set up? Has it been seen else were? Does anyone else have a combo like this one?

If the wearer entered the police after WW1 and was NOT awarded any WW1 service medals or bravery award this combination is indeed possible. I imagine some company clerk in the WW1 army going on to the Administrative police and serving his 25 in an office somewhere.

Administrative Police didn't qualify for the Police Long Service awards Bill. They got the Faithful Service award. But the company clerk or a guy getting pulled in the last week of the war would have qualified for the first and if he joined the Land police a year or two later, he would have qualified.

I had forgotten about that little Admin Po thing about not eligible for the Po Long Service. Not cops so no medal.........serves em right!

Bill and Joe seem to have this one covered but i would like to add that it is a great little medal bar Vince and 100% original in construction and combination in my opinion.
