It looks like a good bayonet but the stag horn grip seems to be new(the side with the wreathed eagle). Are there any marks on the cross guard?
Could you make new close-up photos of the bayonet, the ones you posted are way to fuzzy to actually see details.
P.S. Will you be selling this bayonet or are you in the process of acquiring this one? -

These are the photos the seller sent to me. There are no marking on the crossguard. I have some Polizei bayonets but this one is different. The blade is not like mine ?
I would be interested in buying it and i need more information.

Alain, the pictures are very poor to make any certain comments. But it appears that this is a post-1936 police production bayonet. I cannot see any evidence that it is a converted Prussian bayonet: the fuller does not extend the full length of the blade, I cannot see filled holes from the shortened Prussian grip plates, no apparent Prussian acceptance marks on the back edge of the blade and the grip plates are in nice condition.Comment

I can't tell the length from the photos without some point of reference whether it is a short "Extra" private purchase or an official issue bayonet that were produced in the proper length (no need for shortening) for duty.Comment

I don't think it is a converted prussian bayonet becvause of the blade. I wanted just to know if it was not a fake from after WWII.
