That's a fatigue brooch for women (Frauenarbeitsdienst)

This brooch, worn at the neck, pinned to the shirt collars, bore the inscription "Work for our people - work for ourselves - German Women's Labor Service". This badge is uncommon,- & according to Angolia in his book,- "it is presumed that this was an award in recognition of special achievement or service in the RAD, the specific criteria for award is unknown". Criteria for award must have been rather rigid as each badge is serial numbered.

My english is not the best, but this translation will not match the German sense.

IMHO "work for your nation enobles yourself" will be the better one
