Hi Guys,
I've often read that books written by the Americain Counter Intelligency (G2 service, I think) were of great quality. So I was asking myself how many books they wrote, because I've in my personnal library "German Police" (that you recommended to me) and "Allgemeine SS", and I remember of another about the Hitlerjugend. But is there any other one?

Then, I've send a message to Bender Publishing about a possible third volume of "Uniforms and Organizations of the German Police" and they reply that it was planned. Does anybody have more informations?

Finally, I hesitate to buy the "Hitler's green Army" books (A. Munõz) but I read it was a mix of his others books. My question is if I didn't know his others books is it interesting to buy those ones?

I know it wasn't really an answer to your question, but in my opinion the only reference of any value regarding the German Police is that written by Dieter Deuster. " Deutsche Polizei-Uniformen 1936-1939" is the best reference available on the subject, although it does have some limitations such as lack of photographs and reliance on line drawings and charts. The Bender books, on the other hand, have lots of photographs, and lots of reproductions. The Deuster book is in German but at least it tries to reference regulations. It is quasi-analytical in a very German sense, and has the information if you look for it.

SHAEF - Evaluation and Dissemination Section, (G2) produced many manuals/reports on all intelligence aspects of Nazi Germany, but I do not recall seeing a full list. However, if you are prepared to trawl through the Eisenhower and Truman library, I know there are quite a few mentioned in those collections.

Original copies of any SHAEF manual are very rare and therefore command very high prices.

I followed your advice and I arrived on the National Archives site.
After a quite long research I found a description of the archives I'm looking for.
But the issue, now, is to consult it. I think I'd have to go in the USA to look at it. Is there any way to see it on Internet?
Unless somebody own a digital copy of the Shaef report about Sturmabteilung, Organization Todt..
