Here is another Hute from the same site. Note the Goering coat-of-arms.
Did the DJ or Forst assigned to one of Goerings estates wear his coat of arms?:

All photos I know from Goering with forestry or hunting personnel show the normal state or national forestry uniform.

Private forest owners either had their own (family) crest or the general private forestry insignia. This was worn at the front of the headgear.

This hat is in several aspects "mysterious".

First the eagle at the front. Why this when it is private (family) forestry? The eagle was forbidden to use for private uniforms.

Second the Göring family crest at the side. It should have worn at the front if it ever existed in this way.

Third point the "hairbrush". This type of decoration with hair and feathers was worn before 1920. Afterwards only the "hair-wheel" remained as decoration.

To me this hat was "upgraded" to make it more interesting. The hat itself looks original.
