    Strange Gendarmerie Cap from eBay

    Did anyone else happen to notice this odd looking offering from ebay a while back? I've been wondering just what it was made from and if it's a postwar enhanced M43 or a total "garage" creation or?

      Really an oddly made cap Dave. I would not touch it with a ten foot pole from what I can see. My first impression is a total postwar fake.

        That was also my first impression...and so far I'm sticking with it!
