Interesting picture off Ebay, a Bergwacht badge in wear: looks like the Bergwacht was in this case under the Alpenverein and not the DRK.
The M43 cap have the insignas stripped, so, maybe a post war picture?
Notice the Heer edelweiss on the cap side.

Interesting, looks like he has the gebirgsjäger edelweiss on his right sleeve. Notice the two holes in his cap, it could have the police badge.
I indeed would say an immediate post war photo...
