    What On Earth Is This Cap Badge?

    Hi Everybody,

    I'm presently going through a box of insignia I've had under my desk for some months now.

    Amongst the items, it this cap badge. It measures approx. 44mm x 28.5mm

    Initially, I thought it was political, since it bears similarities with the 1st pattern NSDAP national emblem. However, I can't remember seeing anything with this style swastika (i.e. not in a wreath). Very frustrating: as with so much of late, I'm sure I've seen it somewhere before - guess it must be my age. Or more likely, staring at a pc screen for too long - aaah!!!

            Hi Robin,
            if this piece had a wreath surely the fixing prongs would have been on the wreath and not the eagle ?????

            The above item is shown as is, in Lothar Hartung booklet just my thoughts.
