The other day I across this but in silver.I`ve looked all over the net and haven`t been able to find a gold colored one.Any ideas?

It is a front plate for a traffic police tschako. Much harder to find than the more common silver eagle plates.

The traffic police early on wore a white tschako with gold fittings and gold eagle plate.

Any ideas on what this might be worth? I can`t find a photo or any thing of another1 ?

Interesting, your's seems so much darker than what I am used to and the detail is not as crisp as I like. Not sure if yours just has a thicker gold finish. Any markings on the reverse at all? How long have you had it and where did it come from, if you do not mind me asking?

I got these a few years ago from a buddy who collects civil war things.I asked him to keep me in mind of ww2 german stuff.I got a few badges,westwall medal and some other odds n ends.Here`s bigger pics.
