    STOLEN Black Police M43 Cap

    Hi,

I know that this is "kinda" old BUT it happened and it upset me.

Years ago I had a M43 Black Police cap "stolen" from me when I was at the Puyallup Gun Show. This cap is VERY unique in that the ear-flaps were cut-off and an Edelweisse was sewn on the left-hand side. It was stolen o/a 1996-1997 so if anyone has seen this unique piece...PLEASE let me know. I bought it from a West Point instructor years ago along with an overseas Fire police cap.

I just noticed that these caps are listed in Angolia's Police books...and after I read it....I elected to send this out. No..I didn't file a Police Report.....I was too upset with myself. Just in case it's OUT THERE!!! Thank you,

      Hello,
Sorry to hear about this and any theft. By chance can you post the photos of the caps you are referring to?

      My best,
      Vince

There are plenty of concerning things being said about Angolia on this forum.
If what you say is true, everything make sense now.

          Police Cap

VPPat: No there was only one (1) cap....the police black M43....and
No....and it is NOT posted in the book.

          sftrooper86 (Vince): No I don't have a picture of the Black M43 Police cap..MAN I wish I did.

TK: PLEASE don't be confused. I guess what I wrote was confusing or could be mis-read...I was reading the Angolia's Police book...and this brought this event back to my mind and I elected to send this out...JUST IN CASE this one (1) cap is out there!!! I love the books and I am NOT saying anything about Jack Angolia!!!

I hope this clears up the muddy water!!

            STOLEN Black Police M43 Cap-RECOVERED

Good news....thru a collector friend of mine...he found my black M43 Police cap in the back-room of a local antique shop. I drove up there today and asked the owner about German WWII police caps. He went in the back....and handed me various caps.....and one being "MINE". I confronted him and ...long story short.......he said "You can have it....take it!"

            I'll post pictures.

All I can say is that I got it back...Thanks to my collector friend
