The badge does not ring a bell with me, but the construction, hallmark, and finish all look post-war.

It is definately pre-45 and Deutsche Werk AG was bombed 1944 and closed at the end of the war in 1945.

What is it that make you say it is post-war?

Found this neat book and document, which is for the bronze grade thus.
I like that Mayer used the same green color for the case.

It may have been the photo, but the finish looked like a glitterly gold and not fire-gilt or gold.

It is not glittery as it might sem, but has a flat shiny Gold.

I am not aware of any Gold-coated 800 silver has been treated with fire-gilt ?

I think you are mis-reading what I am saying. I didn't meant to say the badge should be fire-gilt, but the finish should look like fire gilt or gold and not the glittery gold that we see on post-war produced awards.

Why would you think that all badges ,civilian and Military, that does no have fire gilt is post-war?

I did not say that all badges must have fire gilt to be war-time. I said that badges with a cheap glittery gold finish is not war-time (for example look at the cheap gold you will find on many of the 1957 pieces). It appears your badge has a war-time gold finish and not this cheap finish (so your finish is fine). The pictures just looked off to me.

I am done with this topic. You have a nice war-time example. Thank you for showing it.
