Rad center flag insignia

At a gun show in Kansas City today I found this RAD center flag insignia for a RAD ' Abteilungs ' flag as shown in the NSDAP party book's color plate for the RAD .

The entire circle is 19-inches across .
The center spade and wheat design is made up of separate black linen pieces that are stitched to a white linen backing.

The outer circle of wheat designs is a separate circle and is 1 7/8-inches wide .
The heavy thread embroidered wheat designs have small pieces of white cardboard inside each shape and the embroidery goes through 2 layers of backing material ; the outer being of black and the inner one being of white linen .

It is fastened to the center section with stitching through the 3 layers of backing material .

The outer edge of the ring is just stitched over .

i was thinking the same thing myself,ive beem collecting RAD for a while and this is the first time ive seen one not attached,its neat checking out the construction details,thanks for posting it!
