M43 Police helmet special for Halloween

Hi my friends ,
I have offered a Fire Police Helmet, blocked up holes that once held the aluminium comb , and the leather tabs in the liner to secure a leather neck guard.

The surprise is that is all, external and inside, painted with a luminous paint.
In my opinion the paint is the same used on the feldgendarmerie gorgets, pale yellow and still remains much of its glow in the dark.

Please somebody can tell me if is an usual helmet of war period or is an reused for post-war fire police?

These helmets were made reflective for continued use by the Feuerwehr postwar. Youl will also find them made in this style postwar. Now they are molded luminous plastic instead of steel.
