I don't know what this is exactly, but most of the wire is gone and it is in rough shape. What is it and what is it worth? Thanks guys!

Appears like a heavily worn example of the police knot for officer rank since it has the silver ball, crown & stem. Is it really the larger size for sword or a smaller size for bayonets? I'm not able to accurately gage from the photos. Value is tough to call due to it's worn shape.

Dave's right, a beater example of a Polizei knot, officer grade. Looks like it's for a degen but might find it's way onto a bayonet. Value isn't much because of the condition, maybe $20-$25.
