G, this fish has been around for awhile. I have it on the list, as well as the Kripo disc since 2007.

It is amazing that after all these years, even dealers do not recognize this c rap. If someone is looking for a perfectly fine example, it is available on this site's E-Stand? I mean, a collector would not be trying to get an example at a cheap price when working with a dealer? The real ones are expensive. Bad ones from dealers are a waste of money.

I used to think that it was ignorance on the part of some "big" dealers and that they really couldn't tell a genuine disc from a fake one. However, now I am not so sure. Put a bad one up every now and then and a new collector thinking he has found a bargain is bound to bite.

I have emailed this dealer in the past about fake Gestapo and Kripo discs he has had on his site....you think by now he would have done some homework!!!

Only last week I emailed a dealer in the UK who was selling one of these discs and I received a nice email back thanking me and he promptly removed the offending piece. How refreshing!

Here is a disc I got from a german road worker in 1991 who said he found it in a sewer in a town near Bielefeld in Germany. Please share your thoughts.

Dirk, the photos aren't very helpful, but from them I see a lack of detail to the eagle, lettering and numeral, as well as surface irregularities that would lead me to judge this a casting. Do you have its weight and dimensions? Perhaps a close-up of the Marke?
