Attention!! Lost in mail!!

Hello collectors,

I need some of your most welcome attention and help.

Some days ago, I purchased a couple of rare Police warrant discs from a German collector. He sent them in different parcels, just to secure the delivery of the lot.

Now one of the parcels went lost

Until further DHL investigations will be finished, I would like to start a search on www.

If the discs went stolen (dono for sure yet), there´s maybe a chance to locate them online, as the items are unique.

Please keep me informed if there´s a sale of these warrant discs on eBay, hood, militaria.de, militaria321 or any dealer website you know!!

As said, we´re in an early state of investigation as we first need to be sure, that the parcel (which looks more like an envelope) went lost or whatever.
Just want to be prepared.................

Gerd, this is very unfortunate news. Hopefully a positive resolution will reached and soon with the recovery of the missing warrant discs. Despite sounding preliminary, I'll go ahead and pin this thread at the top of the forum to for notice to all collectors. Please keep us advised of the DHL investigations and any change of status.

Stolen goods in general

Hi guys,

I'm sure that items get stolen more and more. These items here might not be stolen, but things that got mysteriously lost in the mail always reeks after a greedy mailman or -woman.

Might it be an idea to dedicate a forum topic to this? So that people internationaly can find out about purchased good that are reported stolen or missing, without reporting items to the local powers that be, who won't do anything about it anyway? It might be a way to identify people who steal and sell.

I don't know, maybe I'm talking silly here, just ignore if I'm being stupid

I think thats a good idea from Krullies and not stupid at all, if we had a pinned thread of items that go missing in transit we may see them for sale and find out who the thieving culprits are or maybe even get these bits reunited with the true owners , rgds Dave

I myself have been waiting for documents supposedly sent in March!!!

Sender states they must have been lost/stolen in mail, but I personnaly doubt they were ever sent in the first place.

Same here, very good idea!!!!

However, good news in case of the warrant discs
Guess what happened yesterday; I found a little box inside my mailbox with both discs inside!

Strange story....the sender paid for a secure, recorded and insured parcel transfer. But what did these stupid German post service members, they delivered it as normal letter ....
So I had the tracking nr. for a parcel transfer, but nobody was able (and never would be able) to track the state of delivery as the box went out of the DHL office as unrecorded letter.
Several controlls between sender and my home, but not one was able to recognize the mistake.

Good thing was, that no one took the chance for a theft .....

I posted a helmet to a member in belgium early may and it went missing, between us we have tracked it down now to coventry uk,it had got to belgium they said they couldnt find the address given so back to uk it came,they said there was no return address on box,but this is wrong as i always put it on any letter or parcel, anyway i traced it even without tracking by contacting parcelforce, its been sat in coventry for weeks in a big holding place ,i bet its like that scene from indiana jones when they put the ark into a massive storage area,,,,now they are going to send back to me, so never give up your missing item could be just sat there with thousands of others just waiting for your call, cheers Dave
