This is a foto of the Police Ski School in Sudelfeld. Probably the officers mess.

So that is were the Police stayed while training, in the hope for one day being awarded the hard to find Polizei Ski-Fuehrer badges. Nice accommodations.

Great photographs. I really like the photograph in post #4. It reminds me of my Army training days: 'stacking arms' and pulling equipment guard while the rest of the platoon was at chow. It is nice to see that the practice is universal and timeless.
