Being a General helps, and yes, my guess would be WWI, plus party and service medals.

The general is GenMaj d Pol Retzlaff, BdO Wien. The fellow with all the medals is the police major commanding the training batallion.

Great photos! Any others of Retzlaff? Just curious as I have one excellent photo of him, although wearing greatcoat, that happens to appear on Page 64 of Volume 2 of the newly released Angolia/Taylor publication. Just like to see his uniform & awards a little better.

Hi Dave,

I believe I have more somewhere. The problem is, if I am not using it for a project, everything goes into a box and gets buried in the garage. Someday, we will be able to get a bigger house and I will have a library.
