Great pictures, especially the last two pictures clearly depictuing Helferinen of the Police! In the last picture (post #5 - romance in the service), are you able to tell if that is the communication spec patch in wear? In post number 4, it appears like a spec patch, a police insignia and then something else midway up the sleeve?

I agree with you Bill. The group picture looks post war. Look at the shoes on the ladies. And the shorter hemline and open collar and jackets.

I think the women are some kind of foreign auxiliaries serving the German security forces in an occupied country; the cut of their uniforms doesn't look German to me. Perhaps Italian?
It appears to be a warm region, anyway, judging from the the open-collar, lightweight uniforms worn by the Police- and SS members as well as the women.

More interesting photos! This must be some form of administrative office with the mix of SS, Police and female clerical pool, although identity & location is the mystery. A shame there isn’t a sign in the photo or some notation. In regard to the center officer in the light colored uniform, his shoulder boards appear more massive, perhaps a General? Also some interesting building architecture, too bad there isn’t a little more to help identify. Do you happen to have further photos from this set?
