    Postal Briefcase/mailbag Advice Sought

    Hi,
purchased this Briefcase, it is supposed to be a Postal Bag as used by Postal Mailmen during the Nazi era. Came with a Map case, Mapcase has celluloid cover and carry strap. Has the usual Stamps are they real. I can return this if its a fake. I know its a real bag of some sort but is it what the seller claimed. Im out of pocket $250 on this which is more than I wanted to spend on something I thought merely interesting. Hopefully someone will shed some light on the item.
    cheers Robert

this is stamped too, I am eager to find out if these items are authentic as I can get a refund, if they are real I guess I am stuck with them. I await your responses.

Interesting indeed. I saw a Schupo courier bag/briefcase once. It was not as nice as this. The mapcase is a little strange. The stamps are unusual in that they are everywhere, at least it seems unusual to me. Yet the eagle and case look fine. I am no expert. As I said. Very different. Thanks for posting the fotos.

yes it looks okay to me thats why I bought it, the eagle appears to have been affixed properly and has been on the case a long time. The mapcase is not really a map case but more so a case for certain letters maybe the period equivalent of registered mail I dont know. The stamps are not everywhere there are two on the case and one on the map/letter holder. Still I dont know why stamp a case at all though they did like stamping things in the Third Reich. Still I would like confirmation if this is genuine or not I am tired of buyong fakes. Come on there must be some Postal collectors lurking out there.
                            cheers Robert
