Question for police collectors

Hi guys, I want to know which kind of tunic or jacket was used by motorised police while driving the motorbike (standart tunic, shorter than standart, leather jacket?). Somebody has any photo?

Typically, the standard police tunic was worn on motorcycle duty. There are lots of photos that show the standard tunic in wear on motorcycles. I do have a photo album of a motorcycle officer that shows that he wore a lealther jacket at times. This is the same double breasted, hip length, black leather jacket worn by vehicle drivers. It would depend upon the duty and the weather I suppose.

I can only confirm what Dave and Schupo have mentioned.

The short ones seem to be leftovers from the pre 1936 regulations while the rubberized coat that Dave shows seems to be from a later date (have a picture of this one in use in 1938)
they have been used paralel for a certain duration.
