Fake Luftschutz? - bought on estand

Hi I've just bought this Luftschutz medal of REDVIPER on the estand and i realy dont like it.
First of it is very heavy 24,8g compared and to my other medals it dont feel right.
Secondly its got a chromed ring

    38,12mm wide
    43,9mm hight
    3.97mm deep
    Weight 24,8g

My gues is that its a poorly made led copy.

Please help me with this one.

Let's get a couple of more weights and measurements from other owners of these awards. And can you take some good fotos of the edges.

                Thanks so far.
I dont know if any of you have handle led copy but it got a feel to it that hard to misstake the heavy and very soft
                metal.

Please help me out with some wheight and measuremnts on some original ones.

You have seven days to return it from the day you received it, no questions asked.

I dont like this one, details look bad to me.Specially the lower part oakleaves and also outer rim seems to have quite high looking casting seam.

Can you please show us closeup of the outer edge?

Here is my old(sold) Luftschutz marked 60 to compare:

I'm not familiar with these medals and offer no opinion, although the e-stand rules clearly state:

"a) Returns must be allowed by the seller for any reason for a period of 7 seven days from when the items arrives."

Looks like an original late war zinc medal to me.

                          The details are good.

If it's lead, it'll bend easily.

                          A zinc medal won't bend.

Ok now I've gone trough the sientific tests.
                            1. It bends easily
                            2. When drawn aginst your teeth you feel directly that its a very soft metall.
(dont need to bite on it, kind of hard to explain)
                            3. You can easily cuts pices of it with a knife.
                            4. The weight.
                            5. there was a scratch on the surface when arrived and there is a very shiny metal under the dark surface.
                            6 IT MELTS!

So there we are, I bought a pice of junk that for my own piece of mind had to test.

Please I am still intressted in knowing what messurements and wheigh you guys have on your original ones. (ther might be som bad news for some)

This little test demostrates that its almost impossible to judge some medals out of apperance but if you have weight and measuremnts I am pretty sure its going better.

The question still stands that the price this was offered for indicated that the seller knew this already.

I post some picture of the piece later.

Send it back! I remember these lead cast pieces circulating around in the mid 70's and they had that chrome type jump ring for the ribbon. Many of these popped up at the neighboring flea markets and antique shows along with many other repros of there day.
