Hello,

Perhaps a bit off topic, but as a Wiesn fan I was curious if anyone out there has any relics of the 1935 Oktoberfest, the only one held under NSDAP influence? Here are some interesting photos from a Bavarian National Museum publication.

And lastly a really interesting 1946 poster making fun of the NAZI's. Obviously a poster like this would not have been tolerated a few months earlier!

Identified from left to right in the front row as:

Emil Maurike (Ratsherr), Karl Fiehler (OberBurgermeister) and Franz Van Epp (Reichsstatthalter).
Interesting that the "alderman" is wearing SS uniform.

Well, it appears I am the only Oktoberfest fan but that's ok. Here from my collection is the "official" postcard of the 1935 Wiesn. Note the party banners in the background of an otherwise traditional design. Probably added at the last minute before printing. I would not be surprised if this design existed with normal "fest" banners where the party banners are on this card.:

My copy of the 1935 KDF tinnie like that shown above from the museum catalog. Clearly beer drinking was considered part of the "joy" creating Germanic "strength"!

1935 Oktoberfest Program

I have recently inquired a 125th anniversary edition program for the Oktoberfest in 1935. I found it in Bad Tolz, a small beautiful Bavarian town just north of where I live (also in Bavaria). I like to go to the flea markets when ever I may get the chance. Even though illegal, this is where you may run into some collector items now and again. If anyone has ever seen another of these, please let me know. I am curious how many might possibly be around.
